Designed to fit the widely popular Arca-Swiss Quick Release Mount style. This plate can be mounted anywhere from the front to the back of the camera.

1/4 20 Threaded Insert’s
Added 2, 1/4 20 Threaded insert’s near the front of the mount increasing compatibility with other systems. You can attach any other quick release plate to the bottom of this one creating a strong base for your camera.

Spread the Weight
Place the camera’s centre of gravity above your tripod by attaching the tripod near the front of the quick release plate. When zoomed all the way in, it stays well balanced.

This plate provides significantly more stability; the P1000 no longer tips forward when the telephoto lens is extended.
This is a very nice addition to my Nikon P1000. The camera now sits rock solid on my tripod. However, there is a small design flaw. You can't use the quick release plate with the original lens hood in storage position.
It would have been nice to also have a version that fits a manfrotto mount directly. However, the threaded inserts allowed me to put on a manfrotto plate without any problem.
Great product, I would highly recommend purchasing this quick release plate.

My biggest complaint with the P1100 is that if you want to use a standard Arca mount, it's not very stable - especially when the camera is fully zoomed. This quick release plate solves this and more.

Made of strong matt plastic, so it won't bend, change shape because alignment is crucial. I was glad I found this as I was worried the P1100' lens is front heavy even before it's extended. A must have if you own a Nikon P1100.

It is a must have for the Nikon P1100 if you are a frequent tripod user.
The only little problem is that it is a little bit too long (approx 2mm). Have problem sitting the lens hood properly when you want to keep it in the reverse position.
Anyway it is easily rectified with a little modification.
Overall a fantastic product.
